The world's most visited immersive multi-sensory experience is touring the UK, and I was lucky enough to attend the launch event in Kensington Gardens.
Van Gogh Alive is an art exhibition like no other; transporting you through Van Gogh's life. Take the journey through the Netherlands, Arles, Saint Rémy, and Auvers-sur-Oise, where he created many of his timeless masterpieces.
Set to an evocative classical score, you can witness a thrilling display of over 3,000 inspirational images.
From start to finish, you are surrounded by a vibrant symphony of light, colour, sound, and fragrance as you wander around the exhibition and absorb it from every possible angle. Van Gogh’s masterpieces come to life, giving visitors the sensation of walking right into his paintings, a feeling that is simultaneously enchanting, entertaining, and educational.
The exhibition lasts around 80 minutes. The event also includes a mesmerising sunflower room, a quick-draw activity area to try out your artistic skills and the chance for you to step inside one of Van Gogh's paintings with a life-size set-up of Van Gogh's bedroom. You can also enjoy live music from Classic FM and refreshments in Café Provençale.
