Pastaio is a wonderful little restaurant situated in the hustle and bustle of Soho, that serves delicious fresh pasta dishes. The restaurant has a modern, chilled and relaxed interior with an al fresco atmosphere.
We visited as part of the 'Eat Out To Help Out Scheme', and so we were lucky to book a table. We arrived at the restaurant after some cocktails at Be At One; just around the corner.
First was to order drinks. We were excited to try the Prosecco Slushies however we were told that we missed the cut-off time for them as it was rather late. I would therefore recommend going a little earlier as we ordered at about 8.45pm. So instead I opted for a glass of Garganega white wine (£4.50).
We shared a Rosemary focaccia, Pastaio olive oil (£3.35) to start, and the bread was warm and tasty.
The menu is simple with very little choice but all of the dishes looked delicious. Originally I wanted to try the Ravioli, summer herbs, fresh ricotta & Parmesan (£9.60) however the Ravioli is only available on limited availability each day and we were too late. Instead, for my meal, I selected the Carbonara, mezze maniche, guanciale, egg yolk, Pecorino (£10.05). The pasta was so fresh and delicious.
The restaurant is small with a modern and minimalistic interior that's light and bright with an instagram-worthy art wall. All of the staff were so friendly
The place in Soho for delicious fresh pasta with a relaxed and modern atmosphere.
