Walking Around Bewl Water | The Bull Inn, Wadhurst

Monday, 27 July 2020

Are you looking for somewhere to go outdoors? Bewl Water is a lovely area with beautiful walks and other outdoor activities located in Lamberhurst, Kent.

My friends and I decided to head up to Bewl Water last Friday for a lovely long walk in the sun. My friend found a circular walk from the village of Ticehurst for 11.3km (although we ended up walking more than that because we got a little lost hahaha...). The route was really nice as it had a mix of country lanes, woodland areas and a path around the Bewl Water too. It was also great for dogs; although many areas they needed to be kept on their leads. Another great reason to go on this walk is that near the end of the route there is a lovely little pub called The Bull Inn in Wadhurst.

After the long walk in the sun, a cold cider and a plate of nachos was just what I needed!

The Bull Inn is a lovely country pub that has a beautiful pub garden that we enjoyed in the sunshine. They had a reduced menu due to COVID-19 but there was still plenty of choice and the food was delicious. The food was moderately priced as my cider was £4.50 and the nachos were £8.00 (and there were a lot of them!). The pub is situated in a wonderful location and the staff were so helpful and friendly.

I would certainly recommend popping into The Bull Inn if you're taking on the circular walk or just visiting Bewl Water and looking for a lovely country pub for lunch, or just some drinks!
