Ibiza is known for it's lively Hippy Markets bursting with colourful clothing, beautiful jewellery, delicious food and so much more. When I visited Ibiza this summer, I visited two wonderful Hippy Markets; Las Dalias and Punta Arabi Market.
Las Dalias
The most popular Hippy Market in Ibiza; Las Dalias is located in San Carlos. It has such an exciting atmosphere. The market features over 200 market stalls that sell all sorts of wonderful items including beauty products, clothes, jewellery, antiques, home décor and many more. There also lots of opportunities for food and the most delicious mojitos where a DJ is playing throughout the day.
Every Saturday • April to October • 10am - 8pm
Las Dalias also put on summer night markets to enjoy some twinkly lights, live music with a lively night-time atmosphere.
We arrived at Las Dalias in the bright Ibiza sunshine and headed into the market. There were so many beautiful items for sale. We also decided to have lunch in Las Dalias Restaurant. The restaurant offered some delicious fresh food and was situated in the heart of the market underneath vines with a relaxed atmosphere.
Punta Arabi Market
Punta Arabi is the oldest and biggest Hippy Market in Ibiza located in Es Cana. There are plenty of stalls selling all sorts of unique clothing, pretty jewellery and other handcrafted items. There is also live music performances dotted around the market, and some delicious food areas. The food areas sell amazing Spanish paella and super refreshing fruit juice - just what you need after walking around the market in the Ibiza sun!
Every Wednesday • April to October • 10am - 8pm
We arrived at Punta Arabi around lunchtime and headed to the food area for some delicious paella and fresh juice. Situated in the centre, there was such a lively atmosphere and the food and drinks were wonderful. After our lunch we headed around the colourful and vibrant market.
If you're planning a visit to Ibiza, I would certainly recommend adding a Hippy Market to your itinerary list. If you're which one to add to your activity plans then I slightly preferred Las Dalias as the restaurants and bars were lovely, and I felt there were more variety of across the stalls there. Overall the Hippy Markets are the most wonderful and vibrant markets I have ever been to and definitely worth a visit.
