Studland Bay | Dorset

Such a beautiful beach, even in the freezing cold!

During my recent A Level geography trip to Dorset we visited the lovey Studland Beach. When I stepped out of the coach, I smiled at the site of a vast sandy beach. This National Trust site is perfect for walkers, families, or anyone who loves the beach; the views are gorgeous! The weather was chilly, but dry at least so we could appreciate the beauty of the area.

In the distance we could see the wonderful Old Harry Rock and Durdle Door - two amazing coastal features. We walked along the shoreline, and we also took a walk through the beautiful heathland behind the sandy shores.

Studland Beach is definitely a place I would recommend to families because the sandy beaches, cafĂ©, shop, BBQ zones, car park on site and heathland are perfect; and dogs are more than welcome! You could also have a go at horseriding or watersports!

I had such a wonderful day with my friends. It was later in the day that we were told that Studland Beach is actually the beach used in the music video for Yellow by Coldplay - so we have walked in the steps of Chris Martin!
